No shocking result in a game when sixth rankedEgis (26-25) beat 9th ranked Daegu (15-36) in Incheon 87-80 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Shawn Long (208-1993, college: Louisiana, agency: Pensack Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The former international guard Ung Heo (183-1993) accounted for 28 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Egis players scored in double figures. The former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-1989, college: Missouri) came up with 27 points and 7 rebounds and Filipino guard Samjosef Belangel (177-1999) added 21 points and 8 assists respectively for Daegu in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. KCC Egis maintains sixth place with 26-25 record. Daegu lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 36 games lost. They share it with Seoul Thunders. KCC Egis will meet at home higher ranked Seoul Knights (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Daegu will play against Seoul Knights (#3) and hope to secure a win.
